I'm not quite geared for it yet, so this is more of a mental exercise right now. But I did recently respc and picked up 9 more points in SV, to add to the 3/3 Hawk Eye I had previously. So there's some synergy to a respec, since it makes my existing 12 points essentially as far as accessing the higher Tiers of Talents goes.
The build has some flexibility, and I could spend 2 points in either of Survivalist or Survival Instincts. What I'm having a hard time figuring out is, which is better? With 7348 Health, and something like 9k raid buffed, a point in Survivalist will give me 180 Health. A point in Survival Instincts will reduce a hit for 2000 points by a mere 40 damage, but it'll do that every time I'm hit, and over the course of a raid that could add up to a lot more than 180 damage prevented.

both with my hypothetical build. So to the SV Hunters out there I have a practical question and a theoretical one. Which did you chose (if you didn't chose both), and why? And if you could only have 2 points in one of these two Talents, which would you select?-Hunter Pet information links:
